  • Articles of relevance and of special significance. It is evisaged that these will be supported by renowned muslim scholars, journalists and subject matter experts
  • This demo is intended to illustrate the basic capabilities of the system and the content descriptions is just off the cuff quick and dirty effort to populate some of the fields. In practice, it is envisaged that content and the descriptors will be carefully selected, verified as far as possible and shared as a usefull resource. An item should not be uploaded simply because it is being pushed by social media algorithms. There should at least be some attempt at verification, quality control and relevance applied.
  • This topic will be dedicated to evidences of slaughters, massacres and genocides of muslim populations. Due to the sensitive nature of the topic, it is imperative that content is well documented, researched and verified to the maximum extent possible. It is intended to serve as a reminder and awarning for future generations. There may be sensitive content.
  • Authentic Islamic content of relevance, historic, edicational and enduring value to the Sunni muslim society of South Africa in particular would be preserved in this space. Further levels of categorisation will be expanded in future.
  • Issues of relevance (especially current and future) can be listed and maintained under this banner. Again, while special focus will be on South Africa Issues, some International issues may also be logged here for visibility and linkages to local issues.

In this post-Ramadan khutbah, the focus was not only on the pain of what is happening to the Ummah, but on the confusion that comes with it. We are living in a time where people are no longer confused only about details, but about truth itself. Gaza exposed the hypocrisy of modern claims to justice, international law, and human rights, and many believers now find themselves overwhelmed, angered, and tempted toward despair. The reminder emphasized that despair is one of shaytan’s tools. The believer does not respond to a collapsing world by withdrawing into hopelessness, but by asking: what does Allah expect from me in a world like this? The khutbah then turned to key principles for navigating this time. Justice remains non-negotiable, even when emotions are high. The Ummah does not lack pain or outrage, but it does lack strategy, structure, and disciplined thinking. We were reminded that believers must think like a building, each part strengthening the other, rather than like isolated individuals overwhelmed by events. Several practical pillars were highlighted for post-Ramadan life: moral clarity through authentic revelation, unity without blind partisanship, discipline in speech and information intake, real solidarity that goes beyond emotion, and above all, anchoring oneself in the five daily prayers. Salah was presented as the believer’s daily grounding, the thing that returns us to reality, to Allah, and to the truth of our purpose. The core message was that post-Ramadan life is not about maintaining Ramadan’s exact intensity, but about holding firmly to the baseline of obedience: the obligations, the avoidance of the clearly unlawful, and living with clarity, justice, and steadfastness in a world of fitna.
